Got mine yesterday. Didn't realize the new version doesn't have an ethernet jack. Ordered one of those, they are saying mid-March. Found a pinout diagram on the new style cable and a POE injector that will supply the needed current for the unit. I rigged it up with a POE adapter I had, but it was not enough to keep it up. It kept going up and down.
Spliced the cable back together and waiting on the high-power POE adapter.

Tycon Systems POE-INJ-1000-WT High PoE 4 Pair Injector
That injector with a 2 to 3 amp 48v power supply and reversing the blue and green pairs in a out of the unit are supposed to work and eliminate the Starlink router completely. Reversing the blue and green got dishy to power up and give me an ip but overloaded the regular injector I had and dishy kept rebooting after about 5 min. The injector above should be here next week. I’ll let you know how it goes.

Got mine in late yesterday. Installed at the office, but my ethernet adapter wasn't in the box, so I'll have to wait for it to come in to connect it to the network.
I'm intrigued with the POE injector work around, but I'll wait a while before I go splicing cables.

My date was Feb 2022, and I got my email today.
How’s the coverage with their router? This supply issue of ethernet adapters is gonna be a problem. My current setup has 3 APs to cover my house, plus many of my streaming devices are hard wired. Not sure how well this will work at first without being able to connect it to my network.

My office is about 3700 square feet and my data rack is in one corner. It covers the office well, but I need it plugged into my network

the weather knocked me offline last night.
not sure if it was the cloud cover or the old satelite mount I had it on, that was about 30 degrees off of verticle.
Had some 1 1/4" rigid 90s at the office and fabbed this up this morning. The dish fits nicely in the conduit. A little rubber tape and it won't move. (the conduit to the right is my Eatel fiber entrance)

It would be nice to have a loop in the cable before it enters the vent so water drips on the outside.

There is.
Since my ethernet adapter and extra cable are on backorder, I have to use this cable if I want to travel with it. (I'm aware of the limitations)
ETA: I'm still dropping connection this morning, which didn't happen at all while the weather was good this week.

Adapter works. Eliminates the Starlink router.
Cut the cable
Put a RJ45 on the end.
Use this color code:
OW O Bl GW G BlW BrW Br
Plug that into the Poe in/out of the adapter.
Make a cable to go between the Poe injector and your computer/router. Computer/Router end regular:
OW O GW Bl BlW G Br BrW
Poe adapter data in/out:
OW O Bl GW G BlW BrW B
Power adapter used on the poe injector needs to be at least 2 amp capable 48V.

I just got shipping confirmation on my ethernet adapter last night.
Also, I'm not going to void any warranty just yet.
Glad it worked though

My sister lives in the boonies in north LA. How much is this internet and how can she check her availability?

Any updates on connection stability? Mine should be delivered in the next few days. I work from home through a remote connection, and I’m hoping this works and can replace my current set-up. Speed isn’t a priority, just reliability.

I had pre ordered like a year ago but canceled today.
There is no way I'm going to be able to install this thing by myself to the house and get it set up on a pole outside, etc.
I have way too many other issues on my plate. Maybe when they offer some kind of professional installation I'll roll with it.
Best of luck and hope y'all enjoy. I am jealous.

Regular service is $100/month. There’s a Starlink app that will tell you availability for your location. The website may also do that, but I can’t remember.

As excited as I was to get it, mine sucks.
Been offline all weekend, rebooted everything this morning, it get online at around 250 dl, and then a minute later, poof, its gone again.

I have a ticket into the service dept now. Let see if the customer service is going to be worth a crap.
ETA: I just went and powered it off instead of rebooting from the app and I'm online, for now....

Back offline.
I swear it was tracking an opening in the clouds and when it closed up, signal was gone again.

A couple days to ship, then 3-5 days for delivery. I ordered on 2/1, and order arrival is set for 2/8.

Mine arrived today.
I'm waiting on the pole mount for my permanent set-up, so it's just sitting on the ground in the backyard right now, but it booted and connected fine, and has been online for about an hour now. But there's minimal cloud cover. Once it's in it's permanent spot, I'll track the performance.
