Update in last post...

I currently have a Denon 1912 and I have been happy with it. However, I switched from Iphone to Android and want to be able to stream music to my receiver from my phone. I haven't had any luck with the Android Airplay apps.

What is a moderately priced receiver that I can stream music from my android with? The gf has an Iphone, so being able to stream from that would be a bonus. It must have 2 zone capabilities because most of the time I am streaming from the patio.

Also, any idea what that 1912 might be worth?

I don't know what that is.

Edit: Just looked it up. I'm not buying anymore apple products.

When you say stream music from your phone, do you mean music that is stored on your phone or something like Pandora? I have the AVR-1913 and it has all the online streaming apps built in and can also stream from any network device.

If that's the only function you want to add, you can simply get a bluetooth receiver to plug into your current receiver.

I don't have one to recommend, but something like this.

Unless you really want a new receiver, buy a chromecast

Receiver = $150+
Chromecast = $30

So a chrome cast will plug into the receiver and work over the network. I think I misspoke earlier when I said bluetooth, the range isn't good enough for what I need.

Thanks for all the suggestions.

Chromecast plugs into receiver, uses wifi network. IOS and Android alike. 30 buck solution.

Need an analog signal to power zone 2. Is there a good way to convert the chromecast digital signal to an analog that I can plug into my rca jacks?

Check out the chromecast audio, if you are only looking to stream music. It came out towards the end of last year with little advertisement.

Chromcast audio has 3.5mm output I believe. You can adapt that to an RCA cable and you'll be good to go.

ETA: just read that you can group multiple Chromecast audios together. Allows you to stream same source over multiple receivers/speakers. And they are only $35.

Thanks, I think that's what I will do. Seems like you can convert HDMI to RCA, but you need a powered converter box. This will be cheaper and eliminate another plug for the box. Thanks!

Yes. I got this for our van so we...I mean the kids can watch videos on the chromecast or play games on the PSTV.
