Anyone installed one of these - how effective is this unit and is it a good buy at $100.00?

I'm sure it will work.

I can't say whether it's a good buy at $100, but I will say that range extenders are not a preferred solution (for me, at least, but also probably for most of the tech board).

You may get suggestions for any of the various mesh wifi systems. Any of these will likely give better and more stable performance than a range extender, but it will be a bigger investment as you will be replacing your router.

Others (like me) may prefer a "standard" multiple wifi access point network, which would be top notch performance and stability, but a more involved (and expensive if you aren't handy) installation.

But most likely this range extender will work for you just fine, and it's by far the easiest/quickest setup.

As a general rule, not a very good option at any price.

Expect only about half the throughput. As the above poster said, it will "function", there will be internet.

Get a mesh system, I'm glad I did. Extenders suck.

Extenders suck...go with mesh, Unifi, or something similar.

What's the best recommendation for mesh with AT&T Uverse? The gateway/router not only handles the Internet, but also serves as the DHCP controller for the IPTV.
