Just putting the finishing touches on our new deck and screened in space - put our old 65 inch Samsung outside and connected it via a ROKU - should I have any fear of the ROKU out overnight in 30 degree weather - again - it’s all screened in? Seems like it should be ok - got some good recommendations on this board about using a regular tv outside - any thoughts?

i bring my roku remote in and put it in a box on a shelf near my back porch door. sometimes the buttons get stuck when outside in damp and cold conditions.
i wouldn't leave it outside if possible. the tv will be fine.

Never had an issue with my Roku remote in a similar setup. It’s been outside for two years.

Most recommendations I have read say don’t try and operate any standard devices like that under 40 degrees to avoid damage. If they are off and get to above 40 degrees before use I’m sure they will be fine.

I leave mine outside on the back porch all the time for the last several years and haven't had any issues. We got down to 12 degrees in the winter blast last year. Didn't seem to have an adverse effect on the TV or the Roku or the remotes.

The buttons on the remote will get stuck eventually if you just leave it outside.

correct. the humidity will corrode the metal underneath them

All these replies were fantastic - like a moron I tried to Velcro the one connect box to the back of the tv and it kept falling - till I finally figured out it needed to be velcroed to the shiplap and it was fine - in thst process the fan keeps triggering an alarm so I had to buy a new connect box online - I can’t win
