Just inherited a vehicle with Microsoft sync.. What can I do with it?

So far it looks like your typical Bluetooth music and phone connector.
It says "add apps" but nothing happens when I select that.
Is this all there is or is there some super cool feature I should be trying?

How old? We just got out of a 2011. Worked fine for basics like phone use and music. I had a Windows phone for a while, and Sync really played nice with it. Never dealt with apps. Watch some youtube vids for your model year. If it's newer, it's probably Blackberry.

Probably just pulls compatible apps from your Windows phone similar to smart watches.

I’ve always liked the SYNC because it is pretty much a dumb device which uses my phone entirely. Mine doesn’t have the screen. My daughter has an Acura and that technology package is so difficult to manage because you have to keep updating the information which is stored in the car’s system. No thanks.

i'm intrigued by the idea i can customize the wallpaper.
mine boots up with a little FORD logo on the scren and while it has bluetooth they hide that logo giving you only a USB input and an AUX input next to small silver badge that says Microsft SYNC.
