I'm doing the same. I'd imagine our shipping notification will come through once the phone is in the US.

this is how I recall it before
I remember figuring out how to track it while still in China last year by reference number or something, but forget the specifics. But yeah, there ended up being like a few days worth of tracking on UPS before it goes "live" once in the US.

Also, picked up Watch 4 with GPS + Cellular. My co-worker has one (3 series) and I am fascinated that she can answer a call without her phone anywhere near her. Plus, when exercising, connect to Spotify and listen through Bluetooth, all while leaving your phone behind. Where have I been all these years?
I thought there were some limitations to this? As in, it didn't have to be right beside you, but you couldn't go running through the park with your phone sitting at home and it still work.
And I assume you answer the call through airpods? I'm actually thinking about switching back to Apple myself, so this is the important stuff.

Can't say I'm totally interested in the watch, though. Having another thing to charge every day just doesn't jive with me.

Don't have one but pretty sure that's exactly what you can do.

As long as you're connected to a cellular network the watch will fully function without an iPhone nearby. Yes you can answer calls with Airpods. I have a dock that charges my iPhone, Apple Watch, and Airpods so having to charge multiple devices isn't a big deal.

I answer calls on my watch all the time (without airpods). I mean, you don't want to do it in the office most of the time, but it's great when it's just me at work or I'm at home and the phone is on the other side of the house, etc.
I've probably handled a couple hundred calls on it over the last year and I can only recall 1-2 times where someone had trouble hearing me.

So it has a suitable speaker built-in? Interesting.

That's interesting. I just recalled reading about the limitation when the Watch 3 came out. Perhaps that was totally off base. The dock sounds like a no-brainer, too.

I don't understand people who purchase 1000.00 + dollar phones and put them on Sprint's network.
I had Sprint way back when I moved to Birmingham and travelled a good bit for work. Our office issued certain levels of employees Cingular/AT&T phones. Like Manager and up. I was a new hire out of college, and stayed there roughly 3.5 years. There were many audit trips where people had to borrow my phone to make a call back into the office. Their voice service is great. I've never had an issue there. The only issue is data in certain places. AT&T and VW were about the same when I was with them. The only reason I went with Sprint was they had a BOGO lease option when I switched 16 months ago. Lease a 7 and get one free. When my payments are up in 2 months I'm switching. I'll check the prices that used 7s are going for and decide if I want to deal with the hassle of paying them both off and selling or just turn them back in. And really the only data issue we have is that my wife takes the kids to visit her family a few times a year, and they live in the middle of nowhere. She can get texts and make calls fine, but it is hard to get a fast data connection out there, and none of them have wifi at their house. I don't think anyone but her dad even has internet service.

Is like buying a BMW and living in a trailer park
TBH, it is a trailer park she is visiting. Her grandparents own one in south Alabama and it is their retirement income. I've seen some strange things down there.

I'm sure opinions on whether it is loud enough varies, but in a quiet house/office it's fine, and I've used it plenty of times while walking the dog on the fairly low-traffic streets by our house. Sounds pretty good/clear, too.

Awesome, thank you! Good to know!

Is there any limitation if I decide to go with an iPhone SE? I have a larger (not "Note-sized" or anything) Android now and just prefer the smaller handset. I'm not a big guy, so these huge device sizes are just unnecessary and uncomfortable to me.

I think they stopped selling them.
