Looking to cut the satellite soon and go with a Roku and antenna. Is there a preferred buy attic mount antenna on the market or are they all nearly the same?

Lots of good ones but unfortunately what will work best for you depends on your geography and distance from the towers.

If you are 20+ miles, probably need something directional.

40-50 miles, probably need an amplifier but I'm skeptical about how well those actually work.

Less than 10 miles and anything should work.

I am using Channel Master amps at 2 different locations. Both locations could not receive one of the networks on VHF without the amp. Signal strength went from 20-30% to 80% and higher on the VHF channel I couldn't get. All other UHF channels went from 80-90% to consistent 95% or higher.

Why are you looking at installing in your attic instead of rooftop where it works the best?

I’m in nola and put this in my attic.

Runs to 8 TVs and I get all the main channels.

With Clearstream is a Booster/Amplifier needed? This would be used in Port Hudson and Bush, la.
