you are paying $700 just for the remote control and programming. I just bought a ligitech harmony 700 for $40 that could control all those things and programmed it myself in 5 minutes.
Looks like he quote a URC remote which has a full feature two way driver for Sonos. That's different than an $40 remote.

Yes it is. URC do a lot more than a basic Harmony remote but as you know the programmer has to know what they're doing.

I get that, but I wouldn't pay someone $200 to program the remote, I would do it myself so I also understood how to operate it.

If it's a Harmony. No offense but your chances of programming a URC remote without knowing what you're doing is slim to none. As a consumer you also don't have access to the programming software. Dealers only.

My first time programming a URC remote was a horrible experience and I thought I knew what I was doing. It isn't easy.....At all!

Didn't read the UFC part. I would just get a Harmony and not overspend on remotes and programming. Maybe that's not the best way, but I think the average person will get everything they need.

A Honda Civic can get you from point A to B but the people who do it in a Benz have a much better driving experience.

ETA: I get for the true audiophile these things matter, as I mentioned earlier the average person who wants a nice sound system doesn't need a remote that requires only certain people to program.

If that is turnkey 100% ready to go when done, that is not a bad price.

It has nothing to do with being an audiophile. It's about pressing one button on a remote and it executes the exact same procedure every time. Without fail.

I got the Sonos Playbar and Sub about 2 months ago. 100% worth the $1400 price tag.
You, however, are getting screwed at that price.

Do you have existing audio equipment? Receiver and speakers or just some speakers?

I'll install your tv on stone for 300
Posted on 1/22/17 at 10:37 am to Dale Murphy
As a comparison, I got a 60" tv, two amps, sonos cube, a sub, harmony remote programming and installation for about $4700. I called one of the advertising guys and they quoted me twice that.
My guy doesn't drive a wrapped van or maintain a brick and mortar. Less overhead.

Have you ever mounted a tv on stone? It's a complete pain in the arse to do it correctly. We also don't know if he needs power or cables installed behind the tv. $600 is not outrageous at all for installing a tv on stone.
Yeah, my dad and I did it a few years ago for their TV at their house. We even ran wires for a new outlet to put behind the TV mount.

BTW you can pay me $1400 to come hang your tv, bring you a new harmony elite and program it for you, and hook your shite up to your wifi.

It's also a whole lot more complex and powerful than programming a Harmony.
I'm not saying a URC is needed for this application but they are a different level of control.
