I once was excited about usb-c but with magsafe charging, meh. The only time it wins is when you need to REALLY quick charge.

yes I typically use wireless charging, which has gotten better and isn't as slow as it once was.

You can thank the EU for that, they would have stayed with it if they weren't legally required to switch to USBC to sell the iphone in the EU.

Yea, it's not often that a large gov't entity does God's work but in this case, they did.

They did not. It will stifle innovation.

I’ve gotta buy like 8 new chargers now between all of the ones I have stuffed in places. Work. Bedside. Truck. Hunting bag. Etc. plus portable chargers

Really? You didn't have any USB-C chargers or cables before?

Nope. I drive an early model truck that only has normal usb ports. Same on monitors at work. Portable chargers only use the old usb port.

Guess it was the proverbial "meh" release day. Nothing major but not a bad minor release/updates for watch and phone.

Everything that was released today has been pretty much known already. That should not downplay the significance of what was released. The switch to USB-C is pretty significant if you ask me. The dynamic island last year was pretty significant as well.

Their "meh" releases are keeping them in the Top Fortune 5 companies in the world.

Apple runs with the "if its not broke, don't fix it" saying.
