I’m new to the whole RV thing. Who would be a good provider to set up with? I’ve tried Viasat and Hughesnet, neither work. I’ve looked into Nomad.

Anyone have any ideas?

No good?

I can't tell you what to get right now, but I will suggest you get signed up for Starlink to be ready when they start to allow mobile use. I think they plan to start testing RVs by the end of the year.

I’m reaching out to Nomad to try for more info. I’d use this daily. I’d be living in this RV

This guy has a pretty good channel all about RV stuff. Video may be a few years old, but it may point you in the right direction.

I would check with your cellular provider to see what they offer. My BIL uses a device from AT&T that stays in his RV and provides good internet. Whenever I am camping near him I use his and it is much better than campground wifi.

The best way is to go with a router with a sim card spot and connect with one of the major carriers, AT&T and Verizon have the best coverage, att has a $55 prepaid hot spot with 100GB now, Verizon has a really good plan also, then if you are willing to work a bit there are even cheaper plans out there, start checking youtube videos, Facebook groups, Reddit, and RV chat forums, there is a ton of info out there, just research and decide whats best for you.

Calyx Institute

I have three hotspots. 1 is not technically legal, 2 is T-Mobile Home Internet which is geo-fenced to your home address so wouldn't work for you, and 3 is a Linkzone 2 through Calyx Institute. I've had the one through Calyx for almost a year and will renew it again. No issues and truly unlimited. Was a lifesaver after Ida with most cable internet down in the area.
