I current have a 65" TV for my main TV. I'm looking to upgrade to 75" the 75" Samsung 7 series is a bit pricey about $3K, there is a 65" 6 series on sale for $1700, salesman is pitching a 75" Sony for to $2k, but I've nevy owned a Sony TV so I'm looking for advice. All 3 would be an upgrade from my current one

We got a 75" in our game room and it is amazing. I would splurge for it - it really is great. (Ours is a Samsung) If you really can't bring yourself to spend $3k (I don't blame you), then do some research on the Sony. Bigger is better if you are an avid movie watcher or gamer.

All I can add is LG and Sony's panels are surperior to Samsung's, more so LG than Sony. Samsung outsources a majority of their panels from a lot of different Chinese manufacturers.

I would say if you're cool with a 65" go with an LG Oled. If you're really wanting bigger(not always better) than the Sony's a great option.

Not talking about online gaming - granted we have a surround sound as well so maybe that's why I feel the gaming experience is more immersive

Do NOT go with LG OLED. Serious burn in issues not covered under warranty. Worst purchase I’ve ever made in a tv.

I wouldn't say serious issues. The only time you're going to get burn in is if you never turn your tv off. If you just leave it on fox news for 48 straight hours. Yeah you're going to get burn in. Most devices nowadays have screensavers though so it shouldnt be a problem.

Hope that is the QLED 7 series at that price. If not let’s talk. Either way that is kind of high. If it’s the QLED keep in mind it has an external connect box.

That BS, I used to watch channel 9 news every morning for 30 min before work, tv is off all day. I now have channel 9 logo on my screen permanently and I haven’t watched 9 news in over a month.

You're not being truthful about something as it would be nearly impossible to get burn in under those conditions.

I'd go Sony 75" for slightly more than the 65"

I am slightly cheap when it comes to TVs. They will be out of date and small in a few years, so just reload more often.

You can spend a lot of money on having the latest tech with a TV, is the slightly better picture giving you the cost/benefits?

IMO I'd rather spend the extra $1k on a drone, audio, backpacking gear, etc...
