If headphones jacks are dead why did Apple put them on their new Macs?

No, and that is pretty awful reasoning. You need a dongle to use their own devices with each other

They removed them from their phones to make them more water resistant. This doesn't really apply to their computers as they aren't typically used in the elements.

i think i said eventually kill it off, or at least that is what i meant


and there is still time for apple to throw in the towel on that piece of "technology"

It's possible to add that search to Firefox's home page search bar as a "One-click search engine". The TD logo appears as an icon along with the other engines at the bottom of the recent searches dropdown list that appears when I begin typing a search term. Very handy.
