Whatever that means.

How do I get an image from my phone's camera roll into "vector format .ai?"

I know nothing about computers and only have my phone.

ai format is Adobe Illustrator

Why do you need it in vector format? What is this for?
Cameras cannot take photographs in vector format.

I'm trying to get something made online.

An image onto an apron.
The online shop needs the image in that format

You're going to have to pay someone to "digitize" the image. You can probably find an Indian dude to do it for $15 or so.

You try the Fark Board?

vector-conversions.com

Not endorsing them, just one I found advertising vector conversions starting at $10. You will have to submit your photo for a quote.

Or the poster above me had a good idea, you might be able to find someone on the Fark board to do it for you.

Honestly I don't know why the screen print shop can't do it, it's a core service pertaining to their business.

Hell, post the pic here and I'll see if I can do a half decent job.

Old man being less colorful and a lot simpler of a graphic would be better too.

He is probably wanting to use something like spreadshirt where you just submit the vector.
