Check on this before you commit. I believe when sling first came out, your one stream counted logging into a third party app (I mean you couldn't use sling on one tv and watchespn on another). Not saying that's the case with dtvn but it's something that happened in the past.

I plan to do the same with Cox in 3 months. Hopefully by then the DVR functionality will be there.

Has anyone gotten notice of their Apple TV being shipped?

Feel like an idiot for not trying to AT&T store first. I just assumed if I signed up early they would ship quickly.

You guys with DirecTV Now still liking it?

Can you watch it on more than 2 devices?

I have 1 smart TV and 3 regular flat screens, I would need to install a HULU or Firestick in them to watch TV correct?

Can you rewind, pause and fast forward?

I did it in December and wish I would have done it long ago. If you have your locals for news and sports, there is zero reason to keep shelling out coin for cable with the streaming services we have today.

Thanks, I'll buy an antennae for local news.

ETA; The sales person told me that if you watch TV on your phone through the app it doesn't count towards your data if ATT is your cellular carrier..... I can watch TV all day at my desk, that's pretty huge.

Maybe a dumb question based on the above, but can you also record? And if so, how long do the recordings stay? Is it like PSVue and they auto delete after 1 month?

Also, if you have DirecTV Now, do you have full access to WatchESPN through your DirecTV Now account?

Is there a good place to see a side by side comparison of DirecTV now vs PS Vue? I know, probably Google lol.

Found one in the format I was looking for, but never heard of "TomsGuide" so don't know how dependable it is:

Yes. You have access to majority of third-party apps

Thanks.

Looking at the side by side, I think PS Vue may be the best route for me.

I think my Direct TV contract is up, i'm actually on hold w/them now to find out, as I couldn't find that info out on my account online.

Looking to make the switch and save a little cash soon.

It is, simultaneously. BUt you can sign into multiple devises to view content as long as you have one stream still available.

what kind of internet yall using? I just upgraded to 300mbps package. been thinking of getting rid of cox cable. I did just get their new contour 2.0 system but w/o contract I can cancel anytime. However, I think im paying 130 for their fastest internet with the expanded cable offerings (included is HBO, showtime, cinemax...) It seems like id be paying more if I just went with their max internet at $89 a month then get a streaming service for like $50 a month.
