Hue Lights/LSU updates... Paging CAD

Looking for the easiest way to flash my Hue lights purple/gold if LSU manages to score 
Thought Stringify had the capability, but that was apparently only for a special game. Looked at IFTTT, but nothing stood out to me. I see the ESPN app, but it doesn't limit it to team scores

Hmmm. Good question. The only problem is you actually need LSU to score to see if it works.
Mine flash 5x whenever an Alexa timer goes off. I bet there's something out there that can trigger off a particular team scoring.
If you can get an email or text if the team scores you can use an email filter to trigger the lights flashing.
Let me play around with this. You might need a couple pieces to pull it off.

Don't expect the color flash to happen at the exact moment the touchdown occurs. If you are watching a non-streaming feed of the game, it is likely the lights will flash a good 30+ seconds after you see the touchdown occur.

Wouldn't the opposite be true? TD alert would happen before the DVR catches up

Getting close. This will flash your lights whenever there is any update for your team in a game..but it doesn't specify "LSU only" scoring; just game updates in general.
eta now i'm getting greedy. i want it to flash the same # of times as points scored so we'll know if its a FG or a TD

Because I kept 3 sets of lights instead of selling them because I assumed everyone was already doing it.

The quick answer to this question is you can't.
IFTTT/ESPN works but it is sometimes delayed 30 minutes or more and it is not in real time.
The api services that Espn uses for real time scoring updates cost a small fortune. CBS used to have a free API a few years ago but they have since went to a revenue system.
There really are only two options. One, build a web scrapper that monitors the espn realtime gamecenter score for updates. Two, some company ponies up the dough and pays for API access.
I have said for a few years now that someone could make some decent money if they developed the backend system to send out the updates and also the front end app for end users to schedule what teams they want to monitor.

i cant believe there isn't a website somewhere with an API to score updates you can point to.
i wouldnt attempt to try & grab updates from ESPN; their site is so complicated it would be next to impossible to try & scrape the text.
we just need a simple website that posts text updates for scores to point to.

Every API I have ever found is behind a paywall. There are only like 3-4 providers in the US. You could scrape but it needs to be almost real time.
