Historically the Nexus devices have been released around November.

why do you need this?

serious question. with a 32gb..or even 16gb nexus and google plus along with google music..what is taking up all your space??

i never come remotely close to using 16GB..the only time that happens is if i forget to clear the 'google music' cache and a recovery I make is like 6GB.

i'm just not sure why you need all that storage unless you don't take advantage of any of the free clouds.

I personally don't and I'm sure there are many that don't also. I like the ability to have swappable storage that I can put in my computer, another phone, etc. if I choose. I prefer to have music on my device rather than streaming it.

The removable battery is actually the dealbreaker for me...I can live with not having expandable storage.

i guess i dont understand why you wouldn't simply turn on 'auto backup' of your photos & videos since that is free and ensures you never lose anything.

as for music, same thing. you can put 20,000 of your mp3s at google & then 'pin' whatever albums you want to listen to locally and stream the rest.

this is part of your core android functionality as much as storing your contacts in gmail or notes in google keep.

doing those 2 simple things means your music, photos, videos, etc. are always at your fingertips whether you lose your phone or you're logged into a random computer somewhere in Topeka Kansas.

i used to feel this way as well then realized while refusing to buy any phone without a removeable battery, in 10 years i actually purchased a spare battery ONE time..and then i used it maybe 2 or 3 times before it became forgotten in a kitchen drawer.

I literally use mine every day..I hate restricting my phones brightness settings, wifi, bluetooth, etc..I like it at all out battery guzzler knowing I have a few extras in my pocket.

I like having a spare ready to go so I can use my phone to do whatever I want for as long as I want without fear of running out of juice.

this was always my problem. i'd have to remember to charge one completely, then swap in the other one & charge it.

i'm either at home or work or my car & i have charging capabilities in all 3 places thanks to the fact all my devices has used the same usb port for years..samsung, lg, htc, jambox, garmin, nexus, etc.

if i'm ever on a trip (like to NYC last year) and i do'nt know where my next charge will come from i'm careful to minimize looking at the phone constantly..which is a bad habit anyway.

Head to work with fully charged phone and a few batteries... If one dies before I get home I swap one out.. As soon as I get him I put the dead one in the charger cradle.. Normally only rotate between 2 but it's nice meeting knowing the 3rd one is available if need be.. It's more peace of mind than anything.

Every spare battery I've ever bought has come with an external charger. I leave the charger at work during the week and at the end of the day I put the charged battery in my phone and the other one on the charger.
