How do you stop an iPhone screen from dimming when auto brightness is off?

Always happens outside. It just insta dims.

Mine dims when the phone gets hot. Next time, feel if the screen is hot, if so it will get brighter once it cools off.

I think you turn True Tone off in the settings.
General>Display and Brightness>True Tone

Settings- Accessibility- Display & Text Size- turning off/on Auto-Brightness
