HDMI ports not working on Vizio

Bought a Vizio, 2 years old used yesterday.

Seems like none of hdmi ports work. I’ve only tried with a chroncast and laptop, but both work on other TVs.

Tried resetting and all kinds of gimmicky plug and unplug in certain sequences but keep getting “no signal”

Anyone deal with this or have advice? TIA

You got jacked. I'd call the person who sold it to you. Probably why they sold it.

If that fool didn't state it was broken or sold as parts, you have a case.

Yeah hoping to avoid that. Certainly doest fit profile of a scammer, but who knows?

I have all their info, kids even go to same school. Tired of wasting time on this. Trying everything before I go back over there.

Everything works except hdmi ports.

Might be a defective circuit board. I had hdmi ports go bad on my 65 inch samsung. less than three years old. Spent $124 for new circuit boards and opened the back of the tv and replaced it. It works now.

Yep. Had this happen from lighting one time. Surge fried the board that hdmi ports were on so I changed it for about 100 bucks.

Spray some contact cleaner or WD40 in the port and slide the connector in and out a few times. Ive had numerous tv's on my patio that I had to do this with. Worth a shot.

The litigants are now entering the courtroom as Judge Wapner is taking the bench. The plaintiff is suing for $40 he paid for an old Vizio that he says doesn’t work. The defendant says it was assumption of the risk: old Vizio, duh.
