I'm getting ready to install a projector in my media room. From the projector to the bottom of the front wall is approximately a 30-35 foot run. Do I need to be concerned about any sort of degradation at hay length? I've tried doing some research on google - seems to indicate any cable under 50' is probably fine.

I'd contact bluejeanscable to see what they say. They sell a 100 foot 1E, but only say certified to 1/4 of that. These guys will know...great cables too.

What projector/screen are you using?

50ft would be fine for most basic projector setups.

Borrowing projector from buddy - don't know exact brand or model. It's a good one but probably a few years old. Screen is just one from Amazon.

Ya, I would just use the HDMI cable for that setup, but thats me.

If you were going with a 4k projector and anymore length, id definitely use the converters.

I work in A/V a lot... and I would say go with the long HDMI cord: just remember that long HDMI cord are directional, so you will need to pay attention to what side is plugged up where. I use the cat5 extenders when I'm doing runs over 100 feet

I've used 50ft before using Redmere monoprice cable. Longer than that, I'd probably look into using Cat5e/6 cable and baluns.
