Bringing this back up. Background. Just had a 6 month old LG stop working. Pissed enough to just replace it, and use it, if repaired, as a backup or in another bedroom. Bought a Panny on sale because we love our 60" in the family room.

The DVR where this set lives lost HDMI after a storm. Been using component. With the LG it was not bad at all. With the new Panny, it's pretty bad. Especially fine details like skin.

So, is it possible that this Panny just doesn't like component? Will probably return the DVR for one with working HDMI, but thought I'd ask you guys.

i would check your color settings of the component input before you change anything. most tv's let you set each input up independently.
