Garmin Venu 2 vs Apple Watch

Does anyone have a Venu 2 or can comment on the comparison between the two? Thinking about changing from my Apple watch, but I have no experience with Garmin. Any suggestions or advice would be appreciated.

I left apple for Garmin and had the venu 2 for a short while prior to settling on a forerunner.
No Garmin can get close to Apple in terms of smart features, and the venu 2 doesn't have as many training features as their dedicated fitness models.
If you're looking to leave apple for Garmin and are interested in better fitness tracking, spend the extra money and go with the newly released forerunner 265 (w/OLED screen) instead of the venu2.

I tried the Garmin Fenix and had to return it. Just wasn't for me. UI is just too cumbersome.
