Looks like eBay just dropped another 20% off coupon but I’m not sure of the details

I think it's limited to certain brands and sellers.

Still needing CPU, Ram, SSD, GPU...
Basically most of it Lol.
i5 8600k
16 Gb (8x2) Ram.
500Gb SSD (was looking at Samsung EVO 860)
I still may pick up that EVGA deal as it’s a pretty nice deal.

i5?
That 8600k is very capable. It can outperform or match a i7 7700k in most instances

why i5?
6 core, overclockable, high IPC. its the gold standard for gaming builds.

I assume you have been checking MicroCenter/Fry's daily deals. They have been having great deals on all of those items. I wish I would have waited a week to build mine, because I could have saved >$100.

I’m watching Microcenter regularly. And have had BB (more convenient) price match.

I'm currently torn between the two. I've always assumed the 8600k, but have a friend building with the 8700k, so I'm entertaining the thought of an i7.
Roughly $90 differnce @ Microcenter.

Why not spend a little more and get a gtx 1080, why not spend a little more to get a gtx 1080ti?
See the cycle can repeat itself. You set a budget and but worried it

Okay.
Same can be said about 1050ti>1060>1070>1070ti>1080
Point still stands. You set a budget and buy within your budget, especially for extremely minimal performance boosts like the 8600k vs 8700k
