Need some help. Want to build one but haven't done so before. Any advice and help appreciated.

This is the best tool to use. Just know that everything is up in price right now. They first thing you should decide is how much of a computer you want and can afford. If you want the best of the best, buy the GPU first and build around that. If you want a budget friendly gaming PC, invest in better low cost items like RAM/SSD/Motherboard/ that way you can upgrade at a later date.

Not a great time to build, but a lot better than six months ago. The advice you’ve been given already is good, but you seem like you want more guidance than that, so:
What games do you play, at what resolution, and at what target frame rate? What’s your target cost, and what’s your absolutely can’t go above cost?

Right now this is pretty much the most critical thing

Seems like the CPU market has stabilized though.
Still waiting for GPUs to do the same.

It's still nowhere near stable, but it's getting better. The BestBuy gpu drop yesterday lasted a solid 20m or so. Now, that includes queue frickery, but still.

I was in this same boat last year before Christmas. Ended up buying my son an Acer Predator Helios 300. I messed around with it and it impressed me so much I bought one for myself. I play Call Of Duty and Rocket League on shitty hotel wifi often and I have zero issues. For the money I am very satisfied.

Did my build with a Ryzen as well. AMD has the best chips right now.

Go get this and avoid the headache. It has a 3060 and an intel I7. Will run most, if not all, games.

That costco pc looks like the most boring gaming pc ever made aesthetically.

100% agree BUT go into a store and buy a 2060 of the shelf right now.
Buy that computer and put 200$ into a new case and rgb.
