So I can pull up an NFL game on my TV with a digital antenna, but not able to pull it up on Fox streaming app?

So I don’t think it’s protected content. Are there any workaround anyone knows?

if it works with the antenna then wouldn't that be the workaround?

That is correct. They try to box you into subscribing to a provider so you can get your local Fox Affiliate’s feed so you don’t get the national feed.

Although if they tried hard enough with geofencing and location tracking, they could pinpoint your location and give you the right feed, but that could be more trouble than it is worth and cause some problems, one of the is that by not having a provider you are not sending them any cash.

The antenna is not on the tv I want to watch the game on.

ETA this is my fault and fixable.

That said. There should not be a streaming restriction for something that is broadcast OTA for free. IMO.

I got one of those firetv recast boxes. Antenna goes to it then all the fire sticks see it for live channels. I'm not saying that's the best solution works for me though. If your house is still wired for old school cable TV could you use that to get antenna to the TV locations? At least get you through the NFL season.

There is, and they constantly fight with providers because they charge them money, even though it's broadcast OTA for free.

All the major networks are failures.

I bought a Tablo to do the same thing.

But I need to position my antenna better because the reception is borderline.

Plugged directly into a TV, it’s mostly good, with a little pixelation here and there. Not enough to kill the experience of watching a game. But on the Tablo, that little bit of pixelation causes it to stop displaying completely.

We moved the TV in our main room to a wall without a pre-done coax outlet.

I just need to do the damn antenna better sooner rather than later.

Look up making your own antenna on yt. I did that and pick up 27 channels or something in my attic in southeast BTR. I did put a booster on it from another antenna setup. The one I made is a stick with a bunch of Vees off of it.

OH, does that have an antenna built into it?

The Tablo works good when it has a good signal. But I'm like 28 miles from the NOLA towers and where by antenna is right now isn't high enough.
