Firestick remote
Moved firestick to new house location and can’t get the damn remote to start up firestick.

Have tried the home button and several other reset options to no success. Have unplugged and powered up 7-8 times.

Any other suggestions? Batteries are good as well

re: Firestick remote
Try your phone app and see if it's the remote or the stick

quote:

1. Hold down the Select button for 5 seconds to put the remote into pair mode.

2. Hold down the Select + Play buttons together for 5 seconds to Restart the device.

3. Restart the device: Settings > System > Restart, then once restarted unplug the power cable for 5 seconds then plug back in.

You might could actually skip step 3 if everything is working again.

I have a friend who put the batteries in facing the wrong way.

When he finally found the problem I told him to never do that again.

Try installing ew batteries in the remote. Even if you think it can’t be the batteries try it. It worked for me

Yes, we did and it worked perfectly for our needs. If to know how to use it properly, one can obtain total freedom to watch whatever and whenever you want. I have recently stumbled upon one nice resource with the info one needs for the most effective use of FireStick . Nice informative portal with actual and constantly updating information. Hope someone will find it useful too.
