Extending WiFi Signal

Looking to extend my WiFi for a better signal in my garage. Distance from my router to my garage is about 50' through multiple interior walls.
What is the most cost effective method with the best results for accomplishing this?

Most cost effective and best results would be to run cable yourself and put an access point in the garage. If you would have to pay someone to do that the cost blows up, at which point the most cost effective would be to get a mesh wifi system and place the units for good coverage.

Since it's an garage, do you have attic access?

Get Google Nest and replace it with yours and profit.

Then listen to Korkstand. Get a long enough network cable and run a hardwired connection between two wireless routers. That will give you the best connection over the long run. Tons of youtube videos on how to run the cable and configure your wireless routers.
Eta: If you have insulation in your exterior/garage walls it will be a little tricky but not terrible. You could also run it in conduit on the outside of the interior garage wall for a little more $

Don't need to put in on the wall. If you have attic access make it easy on yourself and mount the ap to the ceiling.

If you could pull power from the garage door opener outlet, that could be a cinch. Just punch a hole thru the sheetrock.

I think this is a winner. I think I will plan to run a wire from my router to the ceiling in my garage, exit by my opener and mount a POA on the ceiling there.
Any recommendations for POA?

I was thinking instead of worrying about power in the garage and configuring a second router in AP mode, just get a cheap plain access point from ubiquiti and power it via ethernet. They perform and look great.

I have this and it works great. My office is as far away from the router as you can possibly be in my house.. up a floor and through multiple walls. It works great.

Or that.

People shite on extenders. But I have one extending wifi to my shed. Gets 80 to 100 Mbps. Plenty for streaming or remote desktop.
Some Netgear AC job but I'm sure there are plenty others. I could set up a mesh, but I'm able to turn off the extender when I don't need it.

For $25 or less you can get an extender. I use a T-P Link for the detatched workshop. Different network name; feeds the laptop, cameras and TV.

Give Our nest a B- /C+
Definite improvement to dead zones but still not the speed you would want.
