So I just bought an android box with exodus loaded onto it. I find the picture quality is way worse compared to the same show on my firestick. Is there a fix for this?

Make sure you've run all updates.

Wanted to ask a question about Exodus so I'll just piggyback off your thread. Do I need to use a VPN when I use it? Even if I'm watching new movies?

I've never had a problem with my Android box. Mine is a dual band model. Not sure if it makes a difference. I think I spent about a hundred bucks. I've had this one a couple of months. I'm about to sell it and upgrade.

For the time being. There is a lawsuit in the UK against a seller of preloaded Kodi boxes. If the seller loses that suit then what I have read is streaming TV and movies thru Kodi will be illegal in the UK.....And you know US providers are watching this case.

The preloaded boxes are going to cause trouble for everyone else. Buying those is stupid anyway. If you want to learn how to get the most out of kodi it's better to set it up yourself from the ground up.

Reasoning on not needing a VPN to go to sites streaming content of questionable legality (depending on what of course)

Or just keep it and get this one. Only 34-37 bucks. It's only good for Kodi though. So maybe keep the one you have for Netflix and HBO.

i have that box. It is painfully slow. Also have the Nvidea Shield. Came loaded on it already. Decent box.
My fave is the Fire tv though. Thing is a damn beast and i also have DTV now on it.

I installed Kodi on my Plex server. Didn't seem to operate correctly. Has anyone tried this successfully? Maybe I did something wrong.

Do you use it for anything else but Kodi?
Also did you get rid of the preloaded Kodi and re download it?

I bought a couple of these Q boxes and the bluetooth keyboard and love them, 2Gb RAM and 16GB storage.

I really don't think this is possible. I'm probably wrong.
The "best" answer to the OP is a Windows 10 HTPC - however, that is also the least cost effective.

My guess is that the big cable providers in the U.S. are going to be lobbying hard and spending billions trying to make it illegal soon. The problem for them is you aren't downloading a hard copy of the file and have no way to share that downloaded file with anyone.

Here is the problem for the Content Providers. This isn't piracy and you aren't sharing a copy. With torrents they could claim you helped create thousands of copies. Here, you create nothing. Their real loss is the cost of going to the movie. $15.00.
It isn't worth the lawsuit.
I am sure they are lobbying hard to have streaming added to current laws that allow for harsher penalties and it certainly is possible with the Republicans in charge, they will try to tackle streaming.
