I have a pretty small house and was looking into these instead of trying to run lines to each room. Our wifi is good but the streaming for Direct TV can be spotty
Any one have experience with the Ethernet power adapters? Any advice would greatly appreciated

Im assuming you’re talking about a powerline adapter? I used that as a cheap alternative to get a manageable signal into my shed, and im an IT person. I have the TP-link AV1000 and it was around $35 about two years ago

Really depends on how old your house is and what kind of interference there is.
In general, it'll probably be fine

I've used them in the past with success. They can provide a steady and reliable ethernet connection. However the performance can vary based on a number of factors. It's been several years since I've bought one and the max speed I saw was 40-50 Mbps which is fine for streaming.
Fyi, it's referred to as powerline networking not to be confused with power over ethernet which is different.
If you have coax outlets available, another option is MoCA networking which gives you ethernet over coax which usually works better than powerline networking.

This is correct. I have a brand new home but due to the distance between the Ethernet and the office outlet, was only getting 20-30mbs from the setup. Went gigabit mesh and get 800mbs now in same room wireless.

quote:The distance might be a factor, but I think more importantly they work best when on the same circuit. Performance will drop if on different circuits, or drop further if on different legs (if they work at all in this case).
