ESPN app buffering

I’ve got a second gen amazon fire tv I’ve been using for a few years now. For the last week or two when watching stuff on ESPN app (college football, mlb games etc) it buffers every few minutes which makes watching anything frustrating.
Anyone else having these problems? Any way to trouble shoot this?
Pretty sure it’s not my internet connection because my computer and phone are working fine. And my other apps on my fire tv are working without problem. Netflix , fox sports watching games, nbc sports are all running without buffering interruption.

Haven’t tried it in a while but that app is notorious for buffering, regardless of device or connection.

Try uninstalling and re-installing the ESPN app on the Fire TV device.
Try other devices - Roku, Nvidia Shield, Chromecast, Chromebox, etc.

Thanks tried uninstalling and re-installing today and that did not work.
It’s pretty much unwatchable today. Not sure what is up with it, never been this bad

I’m on Cox Cable and ESPN has been intermittently flickering across the bottom of the screen. Change channels and it goes away. Wonder if ESPN is having transmission issues.

Any time there is heavy traffic (meaning there is a game on you would actually want to watch) the ESPN app will buffer excessively to the point of being unwatchable. Mine has done this for over 3 years.

I agree it picks up when there’s big games on. But now it’s even doing it during sports center. Never had buffering this bad before. Non of my other sports streaming apps doing this
Need to get this under control before lsu games

When was the last time you reset your modem and router. Sounds like a internet problem to me

Nah, the ESPN app sucks arse. Haven't bothered with it in years. Get a IPTV subscription.
