I have the DJI go fly app and the go pro app for my ipad(very limited on what I can do) but looking on using my windows laptop for these videos I plan on making. Any recommendations would be appreciated and fwiw I am a noob on making these videos.

Adobe Premiere Pro is the industry standard now from what I've heard. Also, available on windows.

If you have an ipad pro, download Lumafusion to edit. It works great and editing with your fingers or a pen is much more intuitive for a novice

Been using KdenLive for years now, it does way more than I need (or know how to use).

Editing is a lot of work. If I were you, I would contact a pro on Fivver with great reviews.

You can spend $100 and not have to mess with it.

Davinci Resolve. It is free and tons of videos on YouTube to help you.

Trying the Davinci resolve now. It’s going to take me some time but I would like to get good at this because I use my drone and GoPro a lot. Thanks everyone for the input.

I agree with this. Also, before your start a new project, you should create proxy files (miniature duplicates of the source files) to help speed things along. Otherwise, your GPU will probably bog down and make it damn near unbearable.

This is why I use LumaFusion. No need for proxies, I edit 4K footage daily on my (2018) iPad Pro and the playback & speed is flawless. — Now, I don’t film in ProRes, but I have yet to have a client that requires such or would even give a shite about that. 1080p is still all that’s truly needed I find. Hell most people end up watch things @ 480p on their phones and know no difference at all
