I was talking with a buddy and he was telling me his iPhone is double sim carded. Says he has it doubled so he can have the TMoblie sat plan.
Anyone ever heard of this or anyone does it?

iPhone has been capable of dual SIM since the iPhone 13.
quote:
Using Dual SIM with an eSIM
An eSIM is a digital SIM that allows you to use a cellular plan from your carrier without having to use a physical nano-SIM. Learn how to set up and use Dual SIM.1
How can you use Dual SIM?
Use one number for business and another number for personal calls.
Add a local data plan when you travel outside of the country or region.
Have separate voice and data plans.
Both your phone numbers can make and receive voice and FaceTime calls and send and receive messages using iMessage, SMS, and MMS.2 Your iPhone can use one cellular data network at a time.
What you need
An iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max, iPhone XR, or later with iOS 12.1 or later

Yes, I've used two sims for two different companies at the same time on my newer iPhone.
I don't know how much you know, but most new iPhones don't have a physical SIM anymore. I believe it's all eSIM now. And some have the capability to use two. You just get the eSIM info off your phone and give it to the phone company you want to add.

I have my personal T-Mobile Line and my work Verizon line on my iPhone. It's really useful. I can quickly identify what is a work call or a personal call and shut off the work line when I'm on vacation. My Wife has AT&T. Between one of those we should have a connection, and the T-Mobile Sat connection really helps in that regard come a disaster.

Same. I utilize a duel sim for a personal and work number. Works very well and easy to separate the two

I use US Mobile as my provider. You can choose AT&T, Verizon, or T-Mobile as your main network. You can also pay a little more a month and do the dual SIM and have two networks. If you get weak service on one it will automatically switch you over to the other.
