ESPN+ app won't stream ESPN2, SECB, ESPNU etc.

Only ESPN+

If a game is being shown on regular ESPN, will it be ESPN+ as well?

Then ESPN+ as I suspected is worthless.

ESPN Plus is what used to be ESPN360, which was free from your cable provider.

WatchESPN is the old espn360.

ESPN+ is a special ESPN package (like MLB extra innings or Sunday ticket) that shows things not carried on regular ESPN channels.

Both of these services are accessed by the same ESPN app, which confuses simpletons.

Not quite. Most of the G5 football games that used to be free through 360 are now pay through plus. WatchESPN because the ever farther down the line shite like volleyball.

Everything that is on a ESPN channel on cable can be watched via WatchESPN. You can only use WatchESPN with a cable sub.

You are correct. A simpleton is confused.

You can access both with the app. However, your "TV Provider" pacxkage must include ESPN to get regular ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU and SECN.

I found this out tonight. My ESPN+ subscription lasted 18 minutes.

ESPN+ is just that...not regular ESPN too.

It would cost a LOT more if it did.

The games will be on ESPN+ "On Demand", after they have been played on the regular network channels. ESPN+ will occasionally have some OOC games for the P5 schools, but mostly they carry games from the smaller conferences. Now, if you are a college baseball fan, quite a few of LSU games will be played on ESPN+.

Another thing about ESPN+. If you are an old Simp, like me, and retired, ESPN+ gives you the ability to watch nearly all of the PGA Tour tournaments starting usually early Thursday mornings, except for tournaments in Hawaii those start later in the day due to the time zone. There will be some channel hopping if you attempt to watch the entire day. Watch ESPN will give you most of the times when to switch channels, and if they don't you can go to your live tv source and find out if it will be on the Golf Channel or Peacock, or both.

I think of ESPN+ as a supplement to an ESPN subscription.

It will in the near future. Soon ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, SECN, etc. will all be available via ESPN+ subscription and app.
