Do AirPod Pros work with an Android?

Excuse my ignorance, but I honestly have no clue. I have a Samsung phone but I would like to get some airpod pros. Im currently using a pair of Jabra Elite wireless earbuds but they are the first generation ones and they just aren't holding up anymore. I feel like the airpod pro's are easily the best wireless earbuds available

My AirPods did so I bet they would too. You just may not have full functionality in terms of the touch features or the automatic ear detection.

They're certainly one of the best but they're not easily the best.
Plenty of good competition.
But yes they'll work but you won't get all of features. I would assume you'll have to use a lightning cable to charge them too. That would be enough alone for me to never get them.

It can charge on a wireless Qi charging pad as well
To answer the OP it should work well with two caveats: it can’t do the smart pairing or fast switching that it can with iOS devices and it can’t update firmware on an android device. I presume new spatial audio features coming in conjunction of iOS 14 also won’t work with android.
Also if you ever have to replace one of the ear pieces, you may need access to an iOS device to re-pair them before it can work on your device in order for the airpods to sync.
But there are great utilities on android to replicate many of the features of airpods on an android device.
