Hey guys. I have regular channels, movie package and sports package with Cox. Can you recommend something cheaper with getting the same channels? I need to get away from Cox. I have had Direct tv and the service sucked…never again. Thanks

YouTube tv is the most common answer $65 a month. For internet look up the T-Mobile 5g home internet. I just got my grandmother on it and it’s was giving her 150mb/s for only $50/month

Try out Dish Network - I switched from Directv to them years ago. Directv turned to crap when AT&T bought them.

Cancel and open new account promotion in your wife’s name, that will get you another year… I was stuck in a Cox monopoly once, had to argue on phone for lower bill or do above.

Or YouTube tv

Hard for the board to advise without knowing what channels/shows you watch. Here is a cnet article that lays out the basics. May not be fully updated, so once you start leaning one way or another; you'll want to check the streaming services site.

Also, keep in mind that you can combine Sling Blue & Orange for ~$70/month. Also, anytime you see $ instead of yes/no means that you will need to add an extra package to the quoted price

I went on Cox`s website last year and created my own plan. I got more than I had and paid less.

Once you let them screw you they will keep doing it unless you call or message on facebook or their website to lower it.

Find a competing deal in your area and threaten to leave. That’s what I did when ATT fiber became available in my area. They basically matched.

Cut the cable.

A few years back I cut my Cox bill almost in half by dumping their tv service and going with only their internet and Hulu's +Live package.

There are options out there.

Youtubetv if you have to have a platform. I've gone down to just comcast internet and downloading what I need while also using ustv247. I'm a big movie person so if I used common methods for movies I would shell out a lot of money. I just went with a NAS and download movies for my collection. It didn't take long for my NAS to pay for itself. I am looking hard at Starlink internet to get away from data caps as well as to have a solution for internet in a hurricane situation. Ida knocked me out for 3 weeks and this seems to be the best solution for that

FuboTV is the current best bang for your buck. I’d highly recommend it after trying Slack, YouTube TV, and DIRECTV Stream.

I kicked Cox to the curb for both tv and internet. We were paying over $300/month.
ATT fiber unlimited is about (1000 plan) $75/month
YouTube is $65 no limit on tvs or users.
$140 vs $300

Tell your grandmother that T-Mobile Home Internet has that same plan for 40 dollars if she is a Senior. I have Youtube Tv with unlimited VCR space. I love it. I had Dish, DirectTV, and Cox and this package is a 90 dollar swing for me...

I pay $210 a month for cable (decent amount of sports/movie channels), hi speed internet and alarm system with Comcast. It's not cheap but I am pretty satisfied with the service.
