So here's the short and sweet of it. I have to work tomorrow and I'll miss the first quarter of the game.

I cut the chord on cable and switched to playstation vue which I'm happy with. I can watch it on watch ESPN with that log in.

Is there any possible way that I could watch the game on a delay with this set up? TIA

ABC doesn't stream sports so PlayOn is useless. Also there's no way to schedule it in advance.

Tivo would be perfect for time shifting. Pick up a Bolt for $299, plug in your antenna and you're set to go.

I think for 300 I can deal without seeing the first quarter. I should be off all of the upcoming Saturdays.

Something about DVRing a sports event just doesn't do it for me

Sling comes with a WatchESPN subscription - is that not available on PlayStation Vue? that would be good info to know if i ever consider switching.

Yes

It does. And I have playstation vue. But I don't believe you can use it on a PC as one of the supported devices. That's my issue. I'm not home so I can't just drive home and watch it on a delay.

Im just the opposite. I basically have to DVR everything. It is a combo of being too busy and too impatient for commercials.

I start football games approx 1:15 after the kickoff. FF through all commericials and half time, and catch up to live TV with about 5mins left in the 4th.

Basketball games are 1 hour after start, and catch up at about 2-3 mins left in the 4th.

Perfect! Those hours saved add up!

Don't know if this helps but with sling i can log into WatchESPN and use my sling credentials to watch any game on ESPN. I've done this on PC, iPads, iPhones, etc.

Don't know if that applies to Vue or not but worth a shot. Good luck.
