In first two days. Not a bad start. Trying to decide if I will get one or wait for classic.

Such a strang looking phone. But in a strange way I find it kinda beautiful.

60 characters across. I think the average line is 66 characters.
The blend is real interesting. You can look at the phone texts, calendar, messages etc on your pc or tablet and then when you close program it disappears off those devices completely.
The size is nice on pdf and word docs. I get tired of twisting, landscaping, pinching, and zooming

I wonder if the momentum is going to continue. When are the US carriers going to pick it up? I still need to hold it before I make a decision.

The couple reviews I've seen have said the keyboard isn't that good, and if that's the case it's DOA

I ignore reviews. Gimme a bunch of regular guys on forums such as this one than guys who make money off of apple or samsung. You guys will hit on what's practical and what the bugs are.

Exclusivity worked for Apple. But I agree, they need to expand to other carriers, especially since many of their customers are on Verizon.

Verizon won't allow CDMA only or unlocked, they have to be tuned specifically to Verizon's freq. V plays hardball on this one. I suspect after the poor performance of the Z30, Verizon isn't going to give in on anything.
Past made management made decisions that were horrible and large. Chen is making up for them but it takes time. I think if Verizon sees it sell well, it will change its mine.
BB and T-Mobile had a feud earlier this year but the unlocked ones or those you buy off of ShopBlackberry.com will work on it. Sprint is no loss.
Keep in mind no one has said yet how long the exclusive deal is for.

BlackBerry’s oddball Passport smartphone is actually selling out

Didn't Blackberry already rule the market at one point though? I was young, so I don't remember all that well, but I feel like I remember BB being king for quite a few years there towards the beginning of smart phones.

Their tech was java based. And that was the problem. They waited three years too long to move on it because it was doing so well. Plus they had two to three CEO's at the same time. And they were all hardware guys. See IBM in 80's and early 90's. Hardware guys can get ossified in their thinking. They got left behind. Hell, they used to make jokes about the ipad and iphone.
New team is much better. Case studies will be written about Mr. Chen and his crew.
