These are my two options for where I'm moving. Saleswoman on Uverse told me the Comcast deal about 75 mbps is a load of bunk because of shared service. Any truth to this? Does it matter? FWIW, the offer Uverse had was for Max Turbo which I think is 24 mbps.

Xfinity (Comcast) is much faster than my previous Uverse service here in Houston. Speed test results are easily 5x faster in terms of download speeds. Of course YMMV.

My Comcast is solid. Very solid and consistent. I pay for around 75 down and I get 89 - 90 down every single time (wifi tests).

They just laid ATT fiber through my whole neighborhood but they are going to have to bring it big time in terms of price and performance to take my money.

Terrible service, but when comparing performance Xfinity wins big against uverse, at least in Shreveport.

Just getting back to this... thanks for the info. Actually live in the Houston area myself. Sounds like I'm going with Comcast, notwihstanding the terrible service. Maybe in a couple of years I'll switch back to Uverse if they end up adopting Sunday Ticket from the merger and they improve the internet speed.

IN Houston and I agree with this. I've had Uverse, Direct TV and now Xfinity. Xfinity has been by far my favorite product of all of them, but damn their customer service is pathetic anytime I have to deal with them.

Was at 200/mo Comcast and 50/mb internet

You should be able to get 1 gig speed added to this for only about $30/month more. No data caps either.
