I need some help?
Is this safe? Is this a fire hazard?
Can I use an extension cord or surge protector to plug in toaster oven with max 1800watts?
Can I place a toaster oven on laminate or Formica countertop? Will this damage countertop?
Also, I have 2 inches clearance above toaster and cabinets above, is that safe?

Did we go back in time?
OP if that is a fire hazard then millions of homes would have burned down in the last 50 years.

Heavy duty extension cords for power tools, sure
This, need a heavy duty 12/3 extension cord.
Standard 16 gauge extension cord would not work here
