Looking for a 55 inch picture frame for Living Room and 50" or 55" for outdoor patio. Is the Samsung "The Frame" good value for the living room? On sale now for $979 at Best Buy. I don have preference on the outdoor tv.

No
But I guess if you don’t want the appeal of a tv in your living room like everyone else does then yeah.

I wouldn't use "The Frame" tv as a regular viewing TV. We have one and although it is nice in the sitting area, it is very slow navigationally and the picture quality isn't the best.

We have the frame tv in our living room and its fine. The art picture part (the main appeal) is a nice feature. Picture quality is fine. For the cost there are better picture quality TV's, but, the art frame aspect is what your paying for, which i love. Interface is slow and takes some getting used to. But, i'd buy again.

For outside buy something cheap, i got a roku tcl 4 series and it works great for an outdoor tv.
