I have a small, less than 1500 SQ feet house. I've never had issues with range

I'm looking for a good but cheap ($100 or so) router.

I'm considering

Linksys EA6350

Netgear AC1200

Google WiFi (1 unit)

Any others?

I've been using the same Linksys E2500 for 6 or 7 years with no issues LINK

I have the TP Link Archer C7 and it was a big upgrade over my last router. It looks like there may be a name change to the AC1750 It's $79 LINK

I have that one as well. It works fine for my phone and laptop. My wife's iPhone and our master bedroom TV doesn't work smoothly on it anymore though. It's slow and lags.

I got a tp link ac over a year ago and it was perfect for all devices, but then the pos all the sudden broke.

This is the router I had that broke. It was awesome but then one day (just over a year) it stopped working and had to be re-set every 45 mins or so.

Further research shows that this is common with TP Link

Yeah, I have it, and while it's been ok, I don't think I'd buy it again. Range seems worse than my really old cheap Linksys.

I just upgraded my house to Google Wifi(3 units for ~3,000 sq feet). It's only been a week or two, but it is working a lot better than the Netgear router I was using. I like that it is app based, though one of the criticisms I've seen is it doesn't allow much advanced customization. I wouldn't have the first clue how to do that anyway, so no big deal to me.
