Alright guys, finishing up new home soon and looking for a good cheaper receiver to power speakers in gym.
Gym is 18x22, no ac as it's a seperate garage. Has wifi.
I have 4 of the micca ms-6 [link=(Micca M-6S 6.5 Inch 2-Way in-Wall Speaker with Pivoting 1" Silk Dome Tweeter (Each, White) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0047PO2Z8/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_fabc_RDPB08DGH6AVS0HFJPPK?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1)]LINK[/link] I can use in there. Don't have to use all 4 though.
They handle 80w each.
This will be in the garage at all times. Need to be able to bluetooth phone to it, that's pretty much it. No TV or anything.
Anyone got any recommendations??

I am sure someone like Pyle makes something cheap that can do this.

This was fantastic in one of my boats. I assume you could rig it for home power?

DC power Vs ac power, so no.

Then just get a basic receiver with bluetooth. You can probably find closeouts on lots of good ones.

I have used Pioneer, Yamaha, and Marantz over the last several years. Used them indoors, outdoors, and in non climate controlled indoor spaces.
They'll all work well for what you want. But instead of Bluetooth, I'd suggest getting one that connects to your network and has Pandora, Spotify, or similar apps built in.
Then check out their apps and buy the one with the app you like best. In all likelihood, you'll be using this receiver for very limited functionality.

I'd just get an old used Sonos Connect:Amp.
Bluetooth sucks.

I'll sell you mine. In great condition, we just don't use it anymore as we use our Sonos:Connect 1's as surround sound rears.

I have one driving my pool speakers now. S2 compatible and all. It works great. May pick up another one one day to have in ceiling rear surrounds.

Agreed. That's why I said "instead of Bluetooth".
