the last 3 years, Amazon has had a solid midrange Yamaha receiver for 299 on Black Friday. It was the RX-V671, then 673, 675, so probably the 677 this year. Highly recommended at that price point.

thanks. Couple questions. Can I AirPlay my iPhone to this even tho it it doesn't have Bluetooth? Does it work over the wifi? Also my tv doesn't have hdmi arc.....can I still use hdmi connections as long as I run an optical from my tv to my receiver?

Best Buy started running a lot of deals on tvs today. They just have thousands of tvs in boxes stacked randomly around the store. Sales guy I was talking to says they hope to get rid of most of them before Friday. Seemed like every other person I saw in there was walking out with one. The Samsung and Sony 65" 4K ultra tvs were going for about $1700 marked down from $2500.

Anybody have any recommendations on either. I'm trying to decide which one I want. Of course in the store the little videos they have on their make them both look amazing. Looking for some actual real world reviews

Also Best Buy just announced a toshiba 50 inch for $149 next Wednesday. What's awesome is its online and in store

Think it is just in store. I went and picked one up yesterday for the porch with my Citi Card, apparently Citi will match the sale price if it goes on sale within 60 days of you buying the item. Hopefully it works.

Is that a good deal for the toshiba?

Well toshiba has been out of the TV business for most of this year, so its left over models. warranty support might be a bitch

Best Buy has this Samsung - 60" Class (60" Diag.) - LED - 2160p - Smart - 4K Ultra HD TV - Black
Model: UN60JU6390FXZA

for $800 with promo code SAMSUNG60DEAL

I want a 65" or 70" so I'm not going for it, but throwing it out there.

That 65" LG deal for $1,000 sounds good, but someone mentioned it being no good?

ETA Samsung 60"

Just read some reviews, it is only 60mHz. No thanks.

I think I'm going to try to hold out till OLED prices come down, those things are the best I've seen.

Here's a Samsung 65" 4k for $1,299. It has been hovering around $1500-$1600 over the last few months so this isn't a bad deal 120mHz.

Best Buy

ETA: I must hold out from this deal

If anyone sees a good OLED deal please let me know. 65" minimum.

After spending nearly 2 hours in BestBuy today, I can't convince myself to buy a 1080 after seeing the quality of the 4Ks. I know almost nothing is broadcast in 4k, but they just make the 1080's look so inferior in the store.
