Intel i9-10900KF
32 GB DDR4-3200
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070
1TB GIGABYTE AORUS M.2 PCI-E 4.0 NVME

(Went with the 3070 over the 3080 because I don't have a 4k monitor and I don't really see myself going for one in the immediate future.)

Does anyone else have trouble buying stuff for themselves? I swear, I could spend two grand on toys for my nephews or three on stuff on presents for my wife, but I'll hem and haw over spending more than 50 bucks on myself.

I know exactly how you feel. I just built a desktop this summer and it took me over three months to buy all the parts because I refused to pay MSRP when I know that I could get parts for a better price if I was patient and waited. In the end, I still spent more than I initially had planned thanks to putting in a custom EKWB Loop, but I also plan on this machine lasting me 10+ years. When I spread the cost out over 10 years, I don’t feel quite as bad about it.

I think I bought 4 ssd to fix broken computers for family (and didn’t charge them) before I bought one myself

Same here. The options suck right now... I couldn't bite the bullet on the prices they want for V/Cs. So i'll be running integrated video for the time being.

May switch to AMD when stocks replenish and prices drop but for now:

Intel i5-10600K
MSI Z490 Gaming Wifi
WD_Black 1TB SN750 NVMe Internal Gaming SSD
Crucial Ballistix MAX 4000 MHz DDR4 DRAM Desktop Gaming Memory Kit 16GB
NZXT case
Corsair 550W PSU

Yeah, that's why this is probably the most "high end" in relation to current options I've ever put into a PC, so that it'll last a good bit longer playing high end games. Biggest thing will be if I ever make the video card jump at some point.

Same. One day they'll be back in stock. The 4000 series will probably be out, but one day

My coworker actually managed a couple extra when he was trying to buy one a couple of weeks ago (had auto purchase on, got it from three different places) and held and extra one to see if I wanted it.

After the monster 44” I got for Christmas, felt it was time to get something that could drive it. My 580 does a decent job but still...
