I'm placing a buy on coinbase, and it won't process until Nov 16. This is the date of the fork. Anyone know if this will get me in for the dual coins? Am I risking having my funds go to the wrong coin (Seg?) due to no protection? I can't find any answer on coinbase detailing these specifics, and I don't want to have my funds misallocated or miss out on the split.

You may want to move this to the money board. There’s been a lot of crypto talk there and many people that would be knowledgeable enough to answer this.

With that being said, the fork has been suspended for now.

Even if it wasn’t suspended I think the snapshot would probably be sometime shortly before the fork. Seems like that’s how it went for the last one.

No idea whether it will get you dual coins but it shouldn't have any real impact on the value you get. It isn't like the whole world isn't aware of important upcoming dates, the price will adjust accordingly.
