got my arse kicked pretty bad last time in the cat4 race. actually i knew i was going to fall apart before the last climb so i went out solo early on just to say i was leading the cat4 race. i got swept up on the stairstep climb like i was standing still and just laughed and waved goodbye to everyone. frick those 150lb cyclists

Yeah I didn't ride a bicycle in it. I did motorcycle escort for em. They would utterly destroy me as well. It was pretty funny though bringing in the women leaders and seeing those guys going up the mountain as hard as they could with the women coming up on them.

my coach is also the coach of the women's Team Belladium and they kicked arse this year. I'm pretty sure they took state jerseys in almost every category.

I think one of them was the two that were out front from the jerseys, think the other was in red. I am not sure who won because I pulled off before the finish to fly back down the mountain.
Any of them named Megan, people were screaming for her at the top?

why?
Because it's wireless.

So is my heartrate monitor, speed sensor and power meter. Those work fine.

You probably wouldn't notice if those glitched for a few seconds. Also, if the batteries died in those, no big deal. That's not the case with the shifter.

Yet shimano has made a billion dollars from their electronic components for the last 5 years.

Yep, this guy really underestimates what rich old white guys will buy for a slight fraction of an edge in this sport, not to even mention the rest of the hardcore racers.

Lots of people already charge batteries and wireless is a pretty proven tech now.

You should of come did the River Gorge Omnium. It was a good day.
Sadly my only road bike is a steel framed single speed with heavy cross wheels and 28mm tires.
I'm hoping it is helping me build power for whenever I do get a legit road bike. I want to go faster than my SS allows. I'd probably jump into a few races once I get the right bike.
