Best way to clean a macbook screen

I have some eyeglass cleaners that could work. I just don't want to damage it.

Distilled water and a microfiber cloth.

I use Sam's club lens wipes on my laptop and phone displays, as well as myriad glasses that go on my face, car display screens, etc. The damage comes from dirt that gets stuck in reusable cloths, which are supposed to be washed, which nobody ever does.
