SIAP --> Didn't see anything specific.

What say you, what is your preference, and why?

Not sure what you mean by service. They do have many different podcast "networks" that take a strength in numbers approach to getting exposure for member podcasts.

I suspect you mean more how do you listen to podcasts? I've shifted over to Spotify simply for the multidevice ability. It's a little flaky in that regard but it's nice to be able to go from listening on phone to listening on desktop.

I use Spotify and Apple. Apple is garbage. Spotify is a slightly better interface.

I really like Google's podcast app but it's limited in terms of releases. Sometimes major podcasts don't even really release it on the app and they don't have any exclusives.

I currently use pocketcasts. I don’t remember exactly why I switched. Something to do with cross device play. But I think I like overcast better.

Podcasts are just RSS feeds from a website linked to an audio file of the show. This feeds out to all these services who then just take them and organize/aggregate them. When you play a podcast from a platform it's really playing on the podcast hosts site 99% of the time.

In the past I've used Stitcher, ITunes (Now Apple Podcasts), and Podbean (I host a podcast since 2013 with my brother, and back then it was only Stitcher and Itunes as platforms went.

in 2022 I use Spotify and Google Podcasts, but iHeartRadio is also a decent app/platform for podcasts,

Is there a way to get the 104.5 ESPN OnDemand content on spotify? I can get it on Pocketcasts, but I can't find it using spotify.

I've been using Pocketcasts for years.

I'm way too familiar with the layout to swap to anything else now.
