I highly doubt it.
Why do users have to be limited? That's sort of the whole point of Android phones. Options. Users don't need to be told what they "need." Some users like removable batteries. Some users like external storage. Some users have sensitive data that can't be stored on cloud services by agreements. Not everyone is 18 and taking throw selfies and junk pics and calling it a day.

An SD card is just an outdated technology for adding extra memory to your phone. Cloud is the future.
You can still rock a note 4 if that's your thing.

Do people not understand the difference between someone telling you what the value proposition is for a feature and someone actually needing that feature themselves?

I understand the value of it, but almost every company has moved on from sd cards and removable batteries. They just aren't a part of the future of mobile phones.

stock Android is worth more than all that crap.

Honestly, I'm amazed at the difference in experience between the 1+3 and note 5. I'm never touching a Samsung again
I've seen this sort of thing posted before. What is the difference between the 2?

Not arguing with that. Samsung included it because it got feedback people were not selecting their galaxy 6s and Note 5 because they didn't support sd cards. It is still valuable to consumers. It marks a reason why people might not select a Pixel to replace their Note 7.

Pixel XL. Anyone coming from a Samsung to stock Android is like an awakening as far as user experience.
Samsungs have unmatched displays, but the pixel XL has the highest rated camera ever on mobile.
It's hard to imagine a camera better than the Note 7, but the pixel is rated higher.
I pre-ordered the silver 128gb. I just took the Note 7 back today for the 2nd time. I was getting the pixel anyways.

I'm not being a dick, I like those things as well. You can do all those on a 128gb phone without needing to buy additional storage.

quote:Wrong. For security reasons, I remove memory and replace with a rather benign memory in certain counties. plus, back to storage, I don't compress all my movies, so 128Gb might hold five or six movies. Additionally, some business video files are produced in RAW 4K at 10bits and take lots of storage room. You can't just presume to have it all figured out when really you don't.

Google is giving full size resolution unlimited storage. 4k and all. Sd cards are antiquated and for people who live in poor countries.

If you did like me and took advantage of all the Samsung promos then you'd have a nice stockpile of Samsung accessories lol.
- gear fit 2
- VR gear
-3 pairs of headphones
-256gb micro
Anyways, I'll miss this phone, it's amazing, I'd keep it if it wasn't for the future lack of software updates. I'm hoping Samsung gives the loyal note 7 users some sort of discount on a replacement phone. Either way, I'm not crazy about any other phone out there, so I'll probably just stick with Samsung and get the s7 edge because it's compatible with all this stuff I've got.
This whole thing has really sucked.

Oh yeah? So I get more data charges and the coverage might not work in some areas?
The cloud is a great concept, but there are plenty of instances where that system would just eat up data like you wouldn't believe.

Wireless charging is a dumb gimmick
Lol. So are wireless headphones?
So is cloud storage? They are making the same leap.
Want to know how many chords I've been through over the years charging phones?

Wireless charging is nothing like wireless headphones.
With wireless headphones, you can be on the move without the worry of chords getting in the way.
With wireless charging, you have to lay the phone down flat against a pad, arguably making it more useless than when charging traditionally.

There are clear solutions and workarounds for all of those problems, but you don't want to hear it. Just continue to rely on SD cards, but know that companies are quickly moving away from them and you likely won't see any new phones support them in a year or two.

USB C micro SD card reader solves most issues. Really only thing you can't reliably do is offload apps as it's not always connected.

This is why I didn't get a Note 5 tbh. Without that feature, it wasn't worth the price increase over the 6P.
