At least here you have to use their modem, it's not option. You just have to put it in bridge mode.
I built a larger house, so I went with the ORBI6 with 2 satellites. Wasn't too hard to setup, lots of info on google. Seems stable.
There are cheaper options.

Have to use their modem here as well.
We have Google mesh with 4 pucks or whatever they’re called.

Yea, looks like we have to use their modem.

Orbi has been a nightmare for me in terms of setup with the att gateway router. I'd look at other options.

You do have to use their modem, but you can bypass it and use something else. You just have to change the settings. Currently using google mesh and have it bypassing the modem. There is a youtube video where a guy goes step by step on how to do it.

Anyway, once the ATT device's internal IP is changed, the Orbi should work fine behind it. Basically, both the Orbi and the ATT device get into conflict, both trying to use the same internal IP (192.168.1.254).
There are other ways to get the same result--putting the ATT device in bridge mode or whatever. But, for a quick fix, changing the IP is about as easy as it gets.

If you are getting new ATT service set up, ask the technician to install a BGW320. It is the only option currently available with a pure fiber interface. The other available RGs all use a converted fiber optic signal which travels the last 3 feet or so over cat5/6.
Regardless of the RG installed, they will all push 1000Mbps symmetrical, but the BGW320 has capacity to push beyond that--I believe up past 1.5Gbps IIRC.

I found their modem and router with 1 wifi extender to be just as good if not better than the mesh systems i have tried
