I read this was only for broadband, not wireless.

Curious to see how many "sales" their are for everything seeing as how most adults/kids will be at home over the next month.

And your point? They are lifting caps for people having to do all business at home for the next month. Having 4+ hours of daily video conferences adds up fast not to mention everyone is going to be watching movies and doing stuff from home. Who cares about cell data caps?

Data caps only make sense on cable internet (which is what Comcast mostly has).

Unless someone is in non stop VTC's, sending huge email files as in GB+ or watching videos

the amount of data used while working at home is minimal

This is a shallow gesture

spoken like someone who isn't stuck at home with 4 children and a wife for the next 2 weeks or longer.

its not hollow when my office just shut our office down until April and i'm adding all of my work duties to a 1TB cap i already go over almost every month.

you realize those of us in IT do alot more than just send emails right? i work daily with GBs of data and not everything can be managed through a terminal service session. i do have a need to bring large files down locally for processing from time to time. We ar required to host every meeting on Microsoft Teams with video, no exceptions.

i don't plan my home data usage around that and with half of march already gone, i'm going to hit the cap very quickly especially with the kids stuck at home because schools and colleges are closed and they're binging TV and movies and online because i dont need them bringing home germs from hanging out with friends.

its not just adding the work-from-home factor; its all of the added stress of everything being shut down now so daily internet usage is going to go way up.

Im in IT you dummy and I have kids

Data caps are bullshite but for the avg person at home the amount of data used working isn't that much.

Most your data is on streaming shite and most people who work from home are not in IT.

its shallow bc the ISPs that still have caps know they are bullshite.

Get your panties out of a wad

did you miss the part where that streaming is going to quadruple with a household of people all stuck in quarantine? my daughter has a 10Gbit connection in her DORM and takes a video editing class so now she's going to be doing all that from her bedroom at my house for the unforeseeable future. the rest of the kids are going to be watching way more video too.

every university in the country has gone 'online' for the next weeks minimum so that means everyone used to fat college data pipes are going to be abusing their parent's home connection.

how do you not get this?

I have Sparklight

im in the middle of no where

they got rid of caps but then put everyone in the uncapped plan while still charging an arm and a leg. I pay $105 a month for 200 down its robery.

Moving to the east coast soon and ill be getting 400 down from spectrum for $29 a month.

this is the last 4 months for me..2019 didn't look any better.

and for colorchange; i have no phone service where i live so tmobile gave me a free 'microtower' that makes it seem like i have service..the catch is i have unlimited data through tmo but..wait for it...it all goes through my COMCAST MODEM. So whether or not I have WiFi turned on my phone makes no difference.

So literally every single phone and device in my house is eating at my data cap 24/7.

I feel like i have the 'starter data cap' package. frick YOU COMCAST WITH AN AIDS INFECTED PENIS.

The last 4 or 5 days of every month is miserable for me. i'm literally walking around the house policing phones and tvs.

You need to turn wireless on your phone, and/or stop watching youtube.

Altice One (Suddenlink) took this as an opportunity to send an email telling us what more we can buy from them while also asking us to search online instead of contacting them for support.
